Transcript

Hey there, welcome to the last module. In this module, we finally dive into PowerPoint. Now, you probably started this course hoping that you're gonna go right into PowerPoint. But I hope by this point, you understand that to make better PowerPoints, we needed to do the earlier modules to help us synthesize and structure our ideas such that once we're working in PowerPoint, we can communicate in a way that is effective, powerful and persuasive. In this module, we're gonna explore a number of different things. We're going to talk about how to flip the pyramid principle on its head to start with the main insights and then communicate those in a structured way.

We're going to use different ways of structuring our ideas. So I'm gonna show you different ways of reasoning and presenting arguments. I'm also going to go through different types of presentations. I'm also going to get into the nitty gritty of actual slide design. What are the basic principles that are taught at places like McKinsey and Boston Consulting Group? And finally, I'm gonna introduce you to research from Carmen Simon, where she's gonna show us how to create memorable messages. And a framework from her book I found really helpful that helps you think about what makes a message memorable. And how do we integrate that into our presentations in our work.
